Ugh...Day 2
So it's the end of Day 2 of juicing. Let me just start by telling you that my doctor called me back regarding whether or not a juicing fast would be good for me. He stated that because of my hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) I should eat something once a day. I'm not going to lie to you, I WAS PUMPED!!! But, I must admit, I'm feeling like a bit of a fraud since I can't do the juice-only diet. However, I am still motivated to juice it up!
Today, I had an awesome juice made from carrots, apples, tons of spinach, and coconut water. That was my breakfast. For lunch, (I had a million meetings today) I grabbed a spinach salad with grilled chicken and balsamic vinaigrette. For dinner (pictured below) I had another juice made of kale, spinach, cucumber, apples, and carrots. I feel like you can just throw stuff in a blender and it will mix wonderfully.
Oh, and I forgot to mention yesterday that my starting weight for this lovely new journey is...165 lbs and I am 5'1". Here's to feeling healthy 🍎
Cheers!

Day 1 Wish Me Luck!
This is it! No more excuses. No more saying "tomorrow", "next week", or "next month". The time to regain control of my own life is TODAY!!!!!
After seeing the documentary, Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead this past weekend I was truly inspired by Joe Cross and Phil Staples. These are two men who were much larger and much sicker than I. I thought if they could do it then, hell, what's stopping me???!!!!
I bought a Breville juicer like the one in the documentary and went to my local market and bought all kinds of fruits and veggies. I found that there all kinds of recipes for juicing on Pinterest and numerous websites over the web. I think I will be tweaking these a little because, as of my first juice here, I am not a fan of the taste of juice celery. YUCK!!! Maybe, I'll just add more apples, pears, or citrus.
It is 7:13 am on August 19th. So far, so good. I'll keep you posted...
